We offer three different types of Micarta® for electrical and structural applications:
Micarta® G10 FR4 is a dielectric material, mechanically stable glass cloth epoxy resin, laminated under high pressure. Superior performance in electrical insulating applications. Micarta® G 10 FR-4 does not absorb water making it ideal for generators and hydroelectric flanges. Available in 36" x 48" sheets at any thickness from .002" to 6.00". Micarta® Canvas Grade (CE) is a high pressure thermoset laminate with cotton canvas fabric in a phenolic resin. It is a strong, tough material suitable for gears, tooling fixtures and electrical applications requiring high impact strength. Available in 36" x 48" sheets at thicknesses from .062" to 3.00". Custom sizes available by request.
Micarta® Linen Grade (LE) is a high pressure laminate with linen fabric in a phenolic resin. Grade LE has lower moisture wicking properties and a lower dissipation factor. Grade LE Micarta is a strong electrical and structural material suitable for switch insulation, buss bars, gears and circuit breakers. Available in 36" x 48" sheets at thicknesses from .062" to 3.00". Custom sizes available by request.
